Yes, you can reply to emails you receive at your temporary address. When viewing an email thread, simply type your response in the reply box at the bottom and hit send. However, you cannot initiate new emails — you can only reply to messages that were sent to you first. This prevents spam while still allowing you to have back-and-forth conversations. Your replies are sent using AWS SES from your temporary address, so recipients will see your tempy.email address as the sender.

Every address you generate on tempy.email is active for 10 minutes . You'll see a live countdown timer showing exactly how much time you have left. Need more time? Click the +5 min button to extend your address. You can extend as many times as you need. Once the timer runs out, the address and all emails are permanently deleted from memory. Is tempy.email private? Do you store my data?

We store nothing permanently. All emails are held in server memory only — there is no database, no disk storage, and no backups. When your address expires (or you close the page), the data is gone forever. We don't track users, don't use analytics cookies, and don't log IP addresses. Why didn't I receive my email?

There are a few common reasons an email might not show up: Your address expired. If the 10-minute timer ran out before the email was sent, the address no longer accepts mail. Generate a new one and try again. The sender blocks disposable emails. Some services detect and reject temporary email addresses. This is outside our control. Delivery delay. Some senders queue emails for minutes before actually sending. Wait a moment and check again using the Refresh button. If emails still aren't arriving, try generating a new address and sending a test email to it. More details coming soon.
